Logistics

• Reaching NEHU campus, Shillong: Shillong is 125 km away from the Guwahati airport and 100 km from Guwahati railway station. The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) will arrange transportation from, both, the Guwahati airport and the Shillong Airport to NEHU campus, Shillong. Participants arriving at either airports are requested to approach the Reception Desk at the Arrival Lounge for onward journey to the campus.

  For participants arriving at the Guwahati airport, volunteer(s) at the Reception Desk will assist in commuting to the NEHU Guest House, which is near Guwahati airport, where they will be provided brunch. The delegates will then be transported, in groups, to the NEHU campus in Shillong, in comfortable vehicles, and this journey will take about 3 hours. The vehicles will stop midway, in a place called Nongpoh (Meghalaya), for about 20 minutes, where delegates will refresh themselves for onward journey to NEHU campus, Shillong.

  For participants directly arriving at Shillong Airport, volunteer(s) at the Reception Desk at the Shillong airport, will assist with commuting to NEHU, Shillong. In this case, the distance between Shillong (Barapani Airport) and NEHU is 20 km and drive time is around 30 minutes.

• Local transportation at NEHU Campus: LOC will arrange local transport within NEHU campus to commute between places of accommodation and meeting catering venue.
• Departure details: LOC will provide pooled drop-off facility to participants to Guwahati airport during and after the meeting. Participants are requested to provide departure details at the travel counter at the meeting venue. Please note that one has to keep practically 4 hours’ time window to board a flight from Guwahati airport.
• Travel fare reimbursements: The Academy will extend travel fare reimbursement as per its norms. All participants are requested to fill in TA claim form available at the TA claim desk at the meeting venue. All claims must be supported with original pay receipts/invoice and boarding pass. The Academy will reimburse the travel claims over NEFT/RTGS.
• Wi-Fi network at NEHU: The NEHU campus is Wi-Fi enabled, venue specific passwords will be provided by LOC. The LOC will provide internet connection at the meeting venue to enable access for printing travel tickets, e-mail browsing etc.
• ATM facility: ATM facility is available within the campus. These are available at the SBI NEHU Branch (main administrative building) and NEHU Shopping Complex (near BSNL Exchange).
